Navigating Danger: Demetra, Charlie, and Turr’s Quest for King Poseidon

In the dead of night, Demetra’s world turned upside down as the building she was in trembled violently. What she first thought was an earthquake soon revealed itself to be an attack by the dreaded Wrens, who, this time, brought along their fearsome allies, the Mortars. These green, ashen creatures wielded fiery staffs, turning the night into a chaotic inferno.

In this blog, the author Tiffany Blanton talked about her book Demetra’s Curse, where she tells us about Demetra and Charlie, guided by Turr, who attempted to flee on Turr’s horse form but were thrown onto a nearby rooftop. Injured but undeterred, they searched for Turr, only to find him gravely wounded in the street below. Amidst the chaos, a young boy named Cree emerged, offering a way to safety. Cree’s scaly blue hands and mysterious crystal necklace led them to a hidden sanctuary where healing crystals glowed with an aquamarine light.

As they rested, Cree shared the lore of the Elemental Kings and Queens, who sacrificed themselves to protect their children. Demetra, determined to find King Poseidon and Princess Amalta, decided to proceed with Cree, leaving Charlie to care for Turr. This chapter of their journey underscores the resilience and courage needed to navigate a world under siege, highlighting the importance of allies and the relentless pursuit of their mission.
